Dance Options

Single Dance Mode

Single Dance mode is the basic mode for dancing in HighStreet 5. Dance by yourself for practice and get your skills up to speed!

Lovers'Dance Mode

The Lovers mode is specially designed for lovers to spend some quality time together. The couple mode is unique in that it helps to build understanding between the two players and has special romantic dance moves that only couples can perform together. Furthermore,Lovers mode offers the highest points achievable, and this is also HighStreet 5's blessings to all lovers out there!!

Battle Dance Mode

The Battle mode is specially designed for competitive players.

Group Dance Mode

Is supporting 30-person dance halls only for players to dance by themselves? Of course not! HighStreet 5 places similar importance on cooperative play, and we have crafted the Group dance mode for players who love to get it going together! On the dance hall, you can form groups with other players and have your group leader put out the Group dance invites. After all the members accept the invite, the leader will begin leading the group dance, with up to 5 members dancing together at a time!

Dance Options

There are five ways of dancing: Common Steps,Song Steps,Common Steps for 8 Keys,Song Steps for 8 Keys and Free Steps.

"Common" and "Song":
After you choose the "Common" option (either Common Steps or Common Steps for 8 Keys) and correctly enter the keys for a dance sequence, your character is more likely to perform the dance steps that you have set as your "Favorite" at your Home. All the dance moves that your character perform are those that he or she has already mastered so if you want to pull out more crazy moves in performances, you'll have to practice them in the practice room! If you've mastered enough moves and have set up a wonderful dance sequence in your "Favorite" list at home, and if the planets have aligned such that the song fits your "Favorite" style then congratulations -you will be the star of the whole dance floor.

When you choose the "Song" option (Song Steps and Song Steps for 8 Keys) and correctly enter the keys for a dance sequence, your character will perform dance steps that are appropriate for the song that is being played. Furthermore, everyone on the dance floor who has chosen the "Song" option, regardless it be 4 Keys or 8 Keys, will perform the exact same moves. Don't hesitate to make use of this by gathering all your friends, lining them up,and dancing together in "Song" mode! Use the video recording function to record what could be an amazing dance session when dozens of people are dancing together to a single beat! It'll look amazing!

Other than the different performances of dance steps,"Common'and "Song" do not differ in the points received or their difficulty in the game. If you have mastered a song's dance steps, try out the "Common" option to stand out from the rest!

4 Keys and 8 Keys
The 4 Keys and 8 Keys options will decide the difficulty of the dance and the points that you will receive for it. In the 4 Keys mode, players will use the four directional keys or the 8,2,4,6 keys on the right-side keypad on the keyboard to enter the keys for the dance sequence. In the 8 Keys mode, slanted direction keys will appear in the dance sequences that require you to use all of the 8 directional keys on the keypad (keys 1-9 excluding "5"). That is to say,the 8 Keys mode will have twice as many variations in the required steps for dance sequences!

As a reward for using the 8 Keys mode, you will earn far more points than using the 4 Keys mode regardless whether you are using the "Common" or "Song" option. If you have good technique and reflexes, take up the challenge of the 8 Keys mode!

Free Steps
Free Steps is unique because this is a mode specially designed for experts. It will put to test your ability to react, memorize and perform the dance steps in great rhythmic fashion. Only if you have these qualities can you pull all the stops and wow the crowds in Free Steps mode!

In Free Steps, your first and second dance sequences will begin from 5-step and 6-step dance moves. Following that, you can continue on to 6-step,or even 9-step dance moves! You first enter any directional keys and the game will display the remaining length and directional keys of the sequence that you have to quickly enter to successfully perform the dance sequence. If you enter the wrong keys or if you're not doing well enough -"Oh Miss!" Try again next time.

Free Steps is only for experts, and this mode allows a fantastic performance with great creativity and so far, there are no points given for Free Steps dancing. This allows you dance freely without fear, and to learn more dance moves quickly and make them part of a dance repertoire that belongs only to you! A successful performance of a Free Steps dance sequence results in smooth moves -your technique and poise will earn you the applause of the entire hall!
